Parlour Games
Parlour games first became popular during the Victorian period, when the middle classes had more leisure time and there was improved gas lighting in many homes. They tend to be simple yet competitive social games, requiring a certain level of dexterity or skill. They were created as popular amusements in the days before the advent of the internet, TV or in some cases even Radio!
