Description

Edwardian Parlour Game, estimated to date from the early 1900’s.  The game uses the same principle as ‘Pin The Tail on The Donkey‘.  The large Dandy Picture (measuring 31 inches in length) is hung up and a blindfolded players attempt to pin various items in the correct location.  The game still includes the original Top Hat and Bowtie.  According to the rules, there would also have been an eyeglass, moustache and buttonhole.  These are no longer present but could be replicated, and do not detract from the charm of this wonderful and extremely rare antique game.  The Instructions are printed on a label attached to the underside of the box lid.
The edges of the original box are in poor condition, commensurate with age and storage. Due to the rarity of this item, I have not attempted any repair, as  it would benefit from professional restoration.

Designed in England, the game was manufactured in Bavaria by J W Spear & Sons, for the U.K. market.

Please refer to all the photos, as these form an integral part of the item description.
