Description

This is a wonderful, complete example of a very rare late Victorian card game with superb period artwork.  Bread and Honey is based on the English Nursery Rhyme Sing a Song of Sixpence and features 53 illustrated cards depicting the King, Queen, Maid and Clown, along with 37 Blackbird cards.  The rules are available online and I have also included a copy with the game.  The cards are contained in the original 2-piece box which is in great condition for its age.  Dating from 1896, the game was manufactured in England by Thomas De La Rue & Co., 110 Bunhill Row, London.

Please refer to all the photos as these form an integral part of the item description
