Description
Here we have a very rare British Board Game, dating from the late Seventies. This charming old game is complete and in good vintage condition. The box has slight storage bowing but the game itself shows little sign of use. It includes a full compliment of cards and the original rules. The game was made in England by Philmar and published in 1979.
Extract from the Rules… “Place the board on a table and the 15 small cards face down at the side. The first player selects one card from the pack and places it face up on the table. Taking the large card the player places this on the edge of board farthest away from the corresponding coloured pigeon on the board with a face of a pigeon appearing through the centre hole. The large card is now moved one square at a time in any direction but towards the coloured pigeon matching the card. On each move a pigeon’s face must appear in the hole, if two eyes appear through the hole the next player takes over and continues to move. Each time eyes appear in the hole play is passed to the player at your left. When the coloured pigeon is reached the small card is placed in front of the player who finally achieved its capture.”
