Here we have the 1st edition of Epaminondas, a very rare and highly rated abstract strategy board game, designed by Robert Abbott and dating from 1975. Manufactured in England by Philmar Ltd., London under their Ariel brand name. The game is in exceptional condition with little sign of use. It is 100% complete and even includes the four spare playing pieces! Original instructions present. The box is also in very good order with all corners intact. You won’t find a better example.
