Rules:

1. Each player selects five counters of the same colour.
2. Players decide upon order of play, and by throw of the dice
(highest number takes first choice) each player selects one of
the fou r starter lines shown by the connected green lines at the
beginning of the track.
3. To commence play each player throws the dice in turn,
placing the number of counters scored on the green dots of
the starter line to make the body of his snake. With subsequent
scores the line is completed, and movement along the track is
effected by taking counters in order from the rear of the snake
and placing them at the front.
4. Movement can be in any direction about the track following
the lines of the grid, but there must never be any break in the
line.
5. If it is not possible to move the snake forward by the number
scored through being blocked by another snake or snakes,
then movement of the counters must be in the reverse
direction. If this is still not possible that player misses his turn.
6. The first snake to reach the finishing line is the winner. The
exact number must be scored for the snake to reach the line.
If an excess is scored, movement must be in the reverse
direction.
