It’s little short of a miracle that this rare and fragile game has survived, relatively unscathed, since 1965! Understandably it has a few knocks and an element of bowing due to age but the mechanism still works. I have not attempted to restore the game but I’m sure the card components could be flattened out to make it run a little smoother if desired. The game uses a pair of rollers to guide two independent transparent strips (tops and bottoms). There are eight different designs printed on each strip which can be viewed in any combination as they pass over the model. A simple yet effective game which would have delighted many children at the time. The game also provides a fascinating insight into the fashions in Britain during the Swinging Sixties! Made in England by Peter Pan Playthings Ltd. of Peterborough.
