Description from the boardgamegeek site:
Card game using a regular deck of cards and a board.
“The Board represents a typical year; a constant struggle to pay endless bills with a fixed income and a few opportunities of supplementing it. But with good management and more good luck than bad, it is just possible to get through the year with a few pounds saved! The winner of the game is the first person who proves he can do so.”
You start the year with 100 pounds, and every player starts on January 1st.
On your turn you may play a card of your choice that matches the suit on the square on the board that you are currently on. If you do, you move that many spaces equivalent to the card that you played (Jack = 11, Queen = 12, King =13). The square you now land on will dictate the suit you should play next turn so that you can advance again. Squares you land on will have good or bad instructions (Gain 6 pounds, lose 9 pounds for example), and so on.
You win the game if you have at least 100 pounds and a card that will take you to New Year’s Eve.
