Description
This superb Annie Oakley board game is in great condition for its age. Believed to be the first edition, it was made in the U.S. by Milton Bradley and dates from 1955. The contents are complete and in excellent condition with little sign of use as shown. The box has some storage wear and the corners of the lid have been repaired. Game instructions are printed on the underside of the box lid. The game was probably produced to coincide with the popular TV series which ran from 1954 to 1957.
Details from the boardgamegeek site…
Sheriff Annie Oakley hears that there is a band of stage coach bandits hiding out in the nearby hills. Rewards are offered for their capture. Annie sends a posse of (8) deputies to capture these bandits. Each player controls the moves of two of the deputies, represented by (2) playing pieces of a colour. The object of the game is to collect the most reward money by capturing the bandits and bringing them to Annie Oakley.
This game is a slightly modified reissue of the 1950 Hopalong Cassidy game. The 8 metal playing pieces and 12 cardboard outlaw discs are identical to the Hopalong Cassidy components. The layout, artwork, and descriptions on the playing board are also identical, with the exception of the center inset art which was switched from Cassidy to Oakley.

8 playing pieces represent the deputies, 2 each of four colours.
12 printed discs represent the outlaws and show the amount of reward for each when captured.
