1950’s “Victory” Animal Wooden Picture Dominoes by G J Hayter, England

Description

Here’s a charming set of vintage picture dominoes with an animal theme.  The original box contains a full complement of 28 wooden pieces, in near-mint condition, showing little sign of use.  The plywood pieces are beautifully illustrated with farmyard / wild animals.  Game rules are printed on a label, attached to the underside of the box lid as shown.  The box measures 10.5 x 6 x 1 inches.

The game was made in England by G.J. Hayter & Co. Ltd., Bournemouth, under  their registered “Victory” trademark.  There is no indication of the date of manufacture, but the set is estimated to date from the 1950’s.
