1950’s The Miniature Express Victory Jigsaw, England

Here’s a nice complete example of a rare wooden jigsaw from the Victory Topical Series.  This wonderful puzzle depicts a scene  from the RH&DR (Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway) entitled “The Miniature Express”.  The engine featured is Typhoon a 4-6-2 Pacific Locomotive.  Victory Jigsaws were made in England by G.J. Hayter & Co. Ltd. of Boscombe, Bournemouth.  The game is estimated to date from the 1950’s.
