Description
This quality vintage game was hand crafted in the Channel Islands by C.M.J Products of Jersey. The label doesn’t indicate a date but I would estimate manufacture during the 1950’s. The game is in good usable condition and comes complete with a large Bakelite Dice Shaker and two translucent amber dice. The original green baize has understandably become a bit threadbare over the years but could be replaced if desired. The game rules, along with details of the maker, are printed on a label attached to the underside of the game as shown. Shut-The-Box, now played around the world is thought to have originated in Northern France or the Channel Islands. This is a delightful early example of the game.
