“The All Year Round Cricket Game”

Crickard is a very rare Cricket simulation game, dating from the 1950’s.  The cards, along with the supplied dice, are used to determine the match result.  This example contains a full set of 52 cards (see note) and the original instruction card.  The game was endorsed by Trevor Bailey (England and Essex), who’s photo appears on the front of the box.  The cards are in good condition with no creasing.

Note:  The two original spare (blank) cards have been used to create two missing cards.  This was achieved by applying a printed image onto the face side of these cards (see photo).

Please refer to all the photos as these form an integral part of the item description

Description from the boardgamegeek site:

A cricket card game, probably from the fifties because Trevor Bailey is pictured on the box. He was an England Test Match player in that era.

Take two of the four ‘Out’ cards out of the deck and shuffle the rest. The cards dealt into four piles, all face down. Take one of these piles out of play and use the other three shuffled together. To decide the outcome of each delivery, turn over the top card and follow its instructions. Most of the time it will be a number of runs scored but it could say ‘Out’ or other options. If four wickets have fallen, add another ‘Out’ card into the remaining cards and shuffle them again. If 6 wickets fall, add the other ‘Out’ card. These rules both indicate that later batsmen are easier to get out by the bowler.

Two innings are played and the one with the best score, wins
