Description
A very rare vintage British Board Game dating from the immediate post-War period. Mountaineering is a roll and move style game where each player controls a matched pair of tokens in an attempt to reach the summit first. The game consists of a colourful game board depicting a mountain and a components box for the playing pieces and dice. Game Rules are printed on the game board as shown. The board indicates a British patent number 36395/46. I believe the last two digits denot the year, i.e. 1946. I’m sure this nostalgic game would appeal to climbers. It would also be great as a display piece for a museum or private collection.
