1940’s Wheel 2 Wheel Speedway Game by Igri, London, England

Description

Wheel 2 Wheel is a very rare Motorcycle Speedway game, dating from the 1940’s.  This is the only example I have seen in many years of collecting.  The address of the maker, given in the instructions, is  a residential area of London, so I would think it was produced in very limited numbers and distributed by mail order.  The game consists of a large fold-out board, four card playing pieces, a bone dice and the original instruction sheet.  The ‘board’, which is in very good condition, is made from relatively thin card.  A note on the instructions recommends that this is attached to a more substantial surface for permanency.  One of the playing pieces still has its original wooden base, another three bases could easily be made.  The game is supplied in a simple plain card box which is consistent with a limited production run.
