Description

Very rare vintage British Board Game, estimated to date from the post-War period (1945-1950).  Made in England by Bell of London.

A simple roll and move type game but with bags of vintage charm and superb graphics on the box lid.  This really is an extremely scarce game, and the only example I’ve ever come across!  It is In good condition for age with very little use.  Includes the original instruction sheet.  The box is also in good order, with all corners intact.  Amazingly, it still has the waxed paper packet, used to keep the die and counters safe.

Judging by the materials and manufacturing processes used, I assume the game was produced soon after WW2, during post-War British Austerity.  The die is a very basic affair, formed from a single piece of folded aluminium sheet.  The fact that aluminium was used to make a game component, suggests that war production was over by this time, otherwise it may have formed part of a Spitfire!
