Description
This is a very rare offering and the only example I’ve ever come across. The New Game of “PLANTIT” was published by Geographia Ltd. London. It is estimated to date from the early 1940’s. During World War II there was a huge push by the British Government to encourage poeple to grow more with the “Dig for Victory” campaign. This effort may well have inspired the production of this game.
The game board comes with a components box containing the Rules, a Wooden Shaker and Bone Dice and Hundreds of square card pieces. The pieces, which are hidden from view initially, show different plants / weeds / trees etc. to fill your garden. The game is in good vintage condition as shown.
