Description
A nice early example of the classic British Cricket game “Owzthat”, very popular with British schoolboys in the mid 20th century. The original enamel tin, and both heavyweight metal dice are in very good vintage condition as shown. A copy of the Instruction Sheet is also included. Original sets are rare survivors and it’s even rarer to find them in such good order.
A tiny pocket game, ideal for replicating England’s National summertime game on those rare occasions when inclement weather disrupts the real sport! There is a great blog on the history of the game here.
This is a post WW2 example, manufactured by William Lindop Ltd. of Manchester between 1946 and 1964.
