Description
This charming rare vintage game is in great condition, with a full deck of cards and the original Rules. The 36 Family cards are in good order with little sign of use. The game is contained in a novelty two-part box which features an extending ladder as the inner box is withdrawn. The box has no branding but does indicate “Made in England” on the base. Although there is no makers name marked on the box, it is believed to be a ‘Clifford Series’ game, dating from the post-War period c.1940’s. Happy Families has been a popular British Card Game since the Victorian era.
