1940’s Circus Snap Card Game, Made in England

Description

Here’s a superb example of the classic card game.  This version of Snap has a Circus theme with brightly coloured cards.  There are nine different designs featuring Clowns, Acrobats, Trapeze Artists etc.  The game has a full deck of 36 cards with four of each design.  All cards are in good condition, with little sign of use.  The original Rules are printed on a separate card.  The two-part box has a novel design, with the Clown’s legs extending as the inner box is slid out, most amusing!  The game was made in England and is  estimated to date from the 1940’s.  The manufacturer is not indicated but later sets, using the same artwork, were marked ‘Clifford Series‘.
