Description
A nice example of this rare vintage game. This is believed to be the 1st edition of the game, dating from the late 1930’s or early 1940’s. Published in the U.S. by Parker brothers, the game contains all six original “Miner’s Picks” and ten “Gold Bars” as shown. Due to their considerable age, the Picks no longer have any stickiness to pick up the letter tiles. However, if you wish to play the game, Joe Konrath recommends the use of gluedots to restore this ability. The original Rules, along with other period documentation, are still present. The box is sturdy but has the usual wear commensurate with age. A lovely display piece for a private collection or museum.
