Description
Here’s a rare promotional board game, dating from the early Thirties. Issued by the Anglo-American Oil Company Ltd., the game was released to advertise ‘Pratts High Test’ Petrol. The brand name was changed to Esso in the mid 1930’s. The two-fold board represents a sylised rendition of the famous Brooklands Race Circuit. The board also features Sir Malcolm Campbell‘s Blue Bird, which held the World land speed record at the time. Four of the original Card Car pieces are present. Superb period artwork throughout. The open board measures 24 x 15 inches and would look great framed.
