Description
Here’s a fine example of a rare Table Quoits game dating from the 1930’s. This type of simple Ring-Toss game was very popular in Britain during the inter-War period. Manufacturers published a wide variety of similar games featuring many different characters. The wonderful artwork with bright primary colours appealed to the pre-television generation. This Pirate figure, with his peg leg and a parrot on his shoulder, is no exceptiuon. Stumpy Joe was made by Chad Valley of Harborne, England. A wonderful display piece which would grace any museum or private collection.
