Description

Here we have a superb example of the classic British card game Happy Families.  This charming game, believed to date from the 1930’s, was made in England by H.P. Gibson & Sons of London.  The complete deck of 52 cards are in excellent condition for age, with little sign of use.  Includes the original instruction sheet.

The 52 cards are made up of 13 Family groups, each with a different Trade / Profession.  There are four cards in each family set: the Father; Mother; Son and Daughter.  All the cards have superb artwork by Richard Doyle, depicting characters from the Victorian era.  A lovely item to play or display.

Please refer to all the photos as these form an integral part of the item description.
