Description
Very rare and sought after game . One of a series of ‘Comic Quoits’ ring toss games made by Spears in the 1920’s. This version features a very jolly looking Scotsman from Aberdeen. The playing surface is fixed to the inside base of the box and has four metal hooks which score 2, 3, 5, and 6 points respectively. However, maximum points are achieved by throwing a ring onto the Scotsman’s upturned nose, scoring 10 points! There is a string on the box base, used to hang the game up for play. Instructions are printed on the underside of the box lid as shown.
The game is in good condition for age. The box is complete with a few splits to edges. There is a small puncture hole at the centre of the lid as a result of pressure from the nose piece below, but this is not very noticeable and does not detract from the items immense charm.
