Description
Here’s a superb Comic Quoits game in good working order. Spears, along with other games manufacturers of the 1920’s / 30’s, produced a varied selection of colourful Table Quoits games which really evoke the nostalgia of that inter-War era. This example features wee Bonnie McBonzo, a Scottish adaptation of Bonzo the Dog, a cartoon character created by George Studdy. As can be seen, the game contains wonderful period artwork throughout. The game is dated 1928 and was designed in England and made (for export) in Bavaria by J W Spear & Sons. Instructions are printed on the underside of the box lid as shown. A very rare game!
