Description
Here’s a wonderful, rare survivor. An early, aviation themed, board game dating from the inter-War period. The board, novel Spinner and game pieces are in very good condition for age. A beautifully illustrated game board features scenes of 28 different tourist attractions from around the world. The Rules provide further information about each location. As with many games of this period, there is a educational element to play. The box measures 15 x 11 x 1.5 inches.
Dating from 1928, the game was manufactured at the Spear Works, Bavaria for export to English speaking countries. Interestingly, the box label also indicates a presence of the maker in the U.S.A “J. W. Spear & Sons Inc., New York”.
