Description
Very rare promotional card game, published by the Carreras Tobacco Company in 1926. A single random card would be contained in each pack of their “Black Cat” brand cigarettes. There are 52 cards in the complete deck, and taking into account doubles and triples, it would have taken some strong lungs to complete the collection! The cards were produced in two sizes, standard cigarette card size and a larger “full size” version. The cards for sale here are a complete set of 52 full size numbered cards. As these were collected individually, there would never have been a box for the set. Wonderful illustrations on the cards as shown. A copy of the instructions is included. Whilst researching this item, I noticed that someone has created an electronic version of the game here.
