Description

“An amusing Card Game for Children”

Here we have a complete deck of picture cards for the popular “SNAP” game.  This early version is very rare and doesn’t appear on the World of Playing Cards site.  Whilst researching the game, I only managed to find one reference to this version, at the Boardgamegeek site here.  It is referred to as “The Skipping Girl” edition, as that card was featured on the front of the original box.  This set includes a full complement of 40, with 10 sets of 4 matching cards.  The cards are in good condition with no creasing.  English cards from this period were often packaged in a two part box, consisting of inner and outer sleeves.  Only the inner sleeve remains with this example.  Estimated to date from the mid 1920’s.
