A rare foray into the Jigsaw market by Roberts Brothers of Gloucester, England. Their Glevum brand is better known for Parlour Games, many of which can be viewed on this site.
This Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle is complete and in very good condition. Each piece has been sequentially numbered on the reverse as shown. It is unclear whether this was done in the factory or by a previous owner? Either way, it enables me to state that the Jigsaw contains exactly 178 pieces! I’m sure the subject matter will not be to everybody’s taste, but it is a well composed picture and of its time. The box is structurally sound with all corners intact. There is a very old paint spill on the box lid. This is on top of the image, but is probably best left in place, to avoid damaging the label.
