1920’s Greyhound Race – A Mechanical Game, British Manufacture

Description

This really is a lovely example of an early twentieth century parlour game.  Estimated to date from the 1920’s, this item is complete and in superb ‘museum quality’ condition, with little sign of use.
Contains all six original hand-painted, lead greyhounds, fixed to their green metal bases.
The game instructions are printed on a label which is attached to the underside of the box lid.
The original box is also in very good order, with original internal dunnage and all corners still intact.  The lithographic image on the box lid is evocative of the period.

You will not find a better example!

I have been reliably informed that the game was produced by Roberts Brothers (Glevum) of Gloucester, England.

Please refer to all the photos, as these form an integral part of the item description.
