1920’s Funny Freddy The Jolly Circus Ring Game by J W Spears, Bavaria

Description

This is a lovely example of a rare and early Ring Toss game.  Designed in England, the game was made in Bavaria by J W Spear and Sons for export to English speaking countries.  One of a series of Ring / Quoits games, each featuring a different colourful, comical character (see separate listings).

The game is in very good vintage condition with wonderful bright and colourful graphics on the box lid and on the Funny Freddy Character inside the box.  The instructions, along with adverts for other games, are printed on the underside of the box lid.  Comes with eight original rings.  I have estimated the date to the 1920’s, but it could possibly be even earlier.  The box measures 24 x 17 x 3cm.
