“The World’s Greatest Indoor Football Pastime”

An early British Football (Soccer) game, believed to  date from the early twentieth century.  It’s hard to be exact about the age of this one, as there’s no indication of the maker on the game and  there doesn’t seem to be any information relating to the game online.  The lack of self-publicity by the maker on the game is evidence of its age.  This was common practice for early British games.  The game appears to be complete, comprising the Board, two teams of 11 painted lead figures, a small metal Ball piece, 2 Dice and original shaker.  It’s remarkable that all the playing pieces have survived without damage and that the ball has not been lost over the years!  The overall condition of the Board and Box is good.  There is some age / storage related bowing to be expected but nothing too serious.  This very rare game would make an ideal display piece for a museum or collector of early Association Football memorabilia.
