Description

A very rare and early Circus themed ring toss Parlour game, thought to date from the 1920’s.  Superb period artwork on the box and card Clown figure.  There is no indication of a maker, but the box bears the legend ‘Printed in U.S.A.‘ (see photo).  The game is in good working order and has four original rings.  The internal edges of the box base have some later card reinforcement to strengthen the sides and repair splits.  There is no loss of original material.  Game instructions are printed on the underside of the score mat.  The box measures 27 x 19 x 2.5 cm.

Sadly, due to its rarity, I have been unable to track down much information about this wonderful game.  But given its design, and the popularity of such items at the time, I would certainly place it in the inter-War period.

A charming display item, which would grace any collection or museum.
