1920’s Faulkner’s Mayfair Steeplechase Horse Racing Game, England

Description

A delightful antique British game dating from the 1920’s. The game consists of a deck of 27 thick cards, 20 of which form the Race Track ‘Game Board’. The remaining 7 cards show the rules and background information for the game.  There are also six painted Metal Racehorse pieces in different colours as shown.  Finally, there is a pair of handmade bone dice.  The game is contained in its original small box measuring 12 x 10 x 3 cm.  This very rare game is in great condition for its age and shows little sign of use.
