Description
A very nice example of an extremely rare and early Lawn Tennis board game. This original game was manufactured at Harborne by Chad Valley, and dates from 1920. It is in lovely complete condition, down to the paper envelope containing the game pieces! These pieces, a small die and counter, are both made of bone. The instructions are printed on a label attached to the underside of the box lid.
Typical of the period, there are superb period graphics on the box, which is also in great condition, having all corners still intact. An amazing survivor!
