Description

This is a rare survivor from the early twentieth century. Dating from 1932, the ‘Chasing Charlie’ board game uses the Snakes & Ladders principle with a Charlie Chaplin theme. The game was manufactured in England by J.W. Spear & Sons, Brimsdown, Enfield.  The game is In good condition for its age and believed to be complete with six original wooden playing pieces and a wooden dice.  Game instructions are printed on the underside of the box lid as shown.  The box itself is intact with some sympathetic repairs to internal edges.  The box measures 32 x 22 x 3cm.  A very nice display piece for a collector or museum.
