Description
This very rare, early skittles style game is thought to date from the first world war period. “Down The Kaiser” consists of Nine wooden skittles: eight “Ordinary Men” surround the “Kaiser” piece at the centre of the board. Players attempt to knock down the pieces from a set distance using wooden discs. All nine of the wooden skittles remain, along with two original discs. The box opens up to form the playing surface and the game Rules are printed on a label attached to the underside of the lid. The box has had a few knocks over the years as shown in the pictures. I was unable to find another example of this game online. It is a very rare surviver and possibly unique!
