A nice early example of a classic British board game. This antique Snakes and Ladders game is complete with the board, four wooden counters, a bone dice and wooden shaker. Even includes the original paper envelope for the counters!
Wonderful artwork on the box lid with an Indian scene. Snakes & Ladders originated in India.
Although the maker is not marked on the box, research indicates that it was made by Roberts Brothers of Gloucester, England (Glevum Games). It is thought to date from c.1915-1925.
The box measures 11 x 8 x 1 inches.
