Description
Here we have an early Snakes and Ladders game, estimated to date from the Edwardian period c.1900-1910. As with many of these early versions, there is a moral theme to the game, with good deeds leading to rewards (up the ladder) and bad behaviour resulting in punishment (down the snake). The game is in good antique condition as shown and includes an original hand made Bone Dice and Five dyed bone Counters. A lovely display item. Typical of the period, the game is unbranded but ‘Made in England’ is printed on the board.
