Description
A late Victorian or Edwardian Antique Mosaic game by Werner & Schumann. The game is in very good condition for its age and consists of a 14 x 14 grid in the base of the box along with loads of painted wooden blocks, used to create a design. The blocks are fairly chunky being as deep as they are wide. The blocks are in two shapes: either a full cube which fills an entire grid position or triangular section pieces, which fill half of a grid space. The box measures 9 inches square by 1 inch deep.
The label on the box lid shows the manufacturer’s monogram “W&S B”, denoting Werner & Schumann, who were based in Berlin, Germany.
Note: There is also a smaller version of this game in my collection.
