1900’s Mechanical Yacht Race Glevum Games, Gloucester, England

Description

Here we have a charming British parlour game.  The game was released in two sizes, this being the four Yacht variant.  Sadly one of the British Yachts has sailed away into the sunset and is no longer with us.  The remaining items are in good antique condition as shown. The box is also in good condition for age with all corners intact.  Superb period artwork on the box label.  There is a small strip of card applied to the box lid.  I don’t think this is related to the game but I have not attempted to remove it.  The box measures 8 x 8 x 1 inches. This rare  “Glevum” series game dates from the Edwardian period  c.1900’s and was made in England by Roberts Brothers of Gloucester.
