Description
This wonderful Solitaire Game / Puzzle is in exceptional condition for its age. It is complete and in the original box which is also in very good order with embossed, silver lettering on the lid. The rules are printed on the underside of the box lid with a sinuous Art Nouveau style surround. The game includes a full set of Clay Marbles as shown. This version of the game is in a smaller format than others and was perhaps intended as a travel set? Made in Bavaria by J.W. Spear & Sons for the English speaking market, the game is estimated to date from the late Victorian period, c.1890’s.
