Description
“As Fascinating as Bridge”
A late Victorian Word game invented by Alexander Millar. This antique game consists of four boxes, each containing a set of card letter tiles with a different coloured background. Includes the original instructions. There is also an old cloth bag, which may not have been part of the original game, but is included as it came with the item.
The game is estimated to date c.1890’s, but may be even earlier. It is in relatively good condition for its age. The outer box lid has split corners and part of the lower edge is missing. As indicated on the instruction sheet (see photo), the game was originally retailed by a Miss M.I. Drury, Farnagh, York Road, Kingstown, Co. Dublin.
Please refer to all the photos, as these form an integral part of the item description.
